Fans of the Magic Mike film series knew the sequel would likely be hot, but the upcoming flick could wind up being the hottest movie to hit theaters in quite some time.

Sandra Bullock Has A Very Specific Reaction When She Watches 'Magic Mike' Trailers

In a new interview with Pop Sugar, Joe Manganiello, who portrays Big D**k Richie in the sequel, spilled on just how much sexier the upcoming film might be in comparison to the first one.

"Well, the fact is, they made the first one, and every studio passed on it. Nobody wanted it. So Chan and [Steven] Soderbergh stepped up and covered the budget," he said. "So because they did that, they had autonomy to make the content what they wanted. It could be a lot racier, a lot scarier, I think, than the traditional powers that be would allow. And because it was popular, the people wanted it and wanted more, you have a really unique experience this time around."

The 'Magic Mike XXL' Cast 'Exposes' Their Best Parts

"This movie is going to blow people's minds," he added. "There hasn't been a studio film this racy, this out there, this kind of progressive, probably since the '70s. And especially in today's climate, I think movies play it very safe, and this is going to be something that is out there."

Manganiello also revealed a little more about why original cast members Matthew McConaughey and Alex Pettyfer weren't included this time around, citing that the new storyline wouldn't make sense with their characters.

"Plot-wise, it wouldn't make sense for either of them to be here," he said.
