She has a chance to eliminate her enemy once and for all, but Serena (Melissa Archer) will actually begin fearing for Nicole's (Arianne Zucker) safety instead on Days of Our Lives. 

Nicole and Xander Grow Closer

The two women have been completely unable to get along since Serena arrived in town, because both had an invested interest in Eric (Greg Vaughan). Since then, Nicole has been increasingly more wary of Serena's motives for being around, especially after Xander (Paul Tefler) arrived in town and Nicole realized the connection between he and Serena. Now though, after she wasn't careful with her investigation and snooping in Xander's phone, Nicole could be in danger. 

She hasn't figured out what exactly is going on just yet--but she's very close to figuring everything out and exposing the truth. Serena was sent by Xander to retrieve some diamonds that were hidden in his elephant statue from the time he spent in Africa so many years ago,. She finally got them after a long struggle of getting her hands on them, but the situation has not yet been resolved. Now, when Nicole snooped through Xander's phone, she found a photo of the same elephant statue, and remembering how many times she has heard of Serena making a big deal about the statue, or even seen her act suspiciously about it, she has pieced together that whatever Serena is up to is involves the statue.

However, though Serena knows she is risking her cover being blown, and potentially her own life, she will actually come to Nicole's aid when she realizes just how much danger her enemy is in. As a result, things may finally change between the two.
