Jennifer Gimenez recently helped Scott Stapp recover from what he labeled a "psychotic break."

During an interview with People Magazine earlier this month, Stapp revealed he had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder after suffering a meltdown, which he claims was prompted by alcohol and drug abuse. A short time later, Stapp revealed Gimenez, who often appears on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, has been a positive force in his life.

"We've had some really good talks about recovery, and she's given me some really good advice," Stapp explained to TMZ of Gimenez.

Stapp and his wife, Jaclyn, landed in Los Angeles days ago, where they will reportedly begin filming VH1's Couple's Therapy, and hope to spend more time with Gimenez.

In an interview with Popdust on Tuesday, Gimenez said she was "honored" to help the Creed frontman fight back against addiction.

“Scott is an absolute miracle and it’s been such an honor to be a part of his recovery,” Gimenez said. “He is such an amazing husband, father and human being, and to lose him to addiction would have been a great tragedy.”

Stapp began to mentally unravel at the end of last year, and months later, spoke candidly about what he went through.

"I had a psychotic break that was brought on by alcohol and drug abuse," he told People. "I was hallucinating...I was out of my mind."

Gimenez has been sober for several years, and has appeared alongside Dr. Drew on Celebrity Rehab and Sober House, helping other addicts in their fight for recovery.
