The reigning Premier League champions Manchester City will take on West Ham United at the Boleyn Ground in London.  West Ham, who've actually racked up four wins and two ties in their first nine EPL matchups, will look to pull off an upset when they go up against their toughest challenge of the football season in Man City.

At the moment, Man City currently sits in third place and trails Chelsea in the rankings by a point.  A victory over West Ham would allow them more than enough points to pass them at the top of the standings.

Nonetheless, it will be no cake walk for the Man City defense as they'll try to contain West Ham's streaky midfielder Kevin Nolan.  Nolan has been on a tear through the first nine games scoring four goals and compiling two assists.  However, teammate Ricardo Vaz Te, shouldn't be underestimated either.  The underrated forward has one goal and two assists and could play a crucial role in West Ham's attack.

The team will more than certainly have to deal with Man City skipper Robert Mancini's zone defense.  If Nolan and the rest of the West Ham offense can overcome it much like Ajax did a week ago, then they'll be in a significantly better position to succeed with their attack.

Either way, the club will have to deal with Man City goalkeeper Joe Hart, who has played a large role in the football team's stellar defense.  While making the start in all of Man City's nine games this season, he's racked up two scoreless performances.

On the offensive side for the Man City squad, the team will present two of the league's best forwards in Carlos Tevez and Edin Dzeko.  Tevez currently has four goals and three assists while Dzeko has hit the back of the next five times along with one assist.
