The Wire's Idris Elba To Join Fast and Furious 8?

Initially we just assumed it was that it was an image that was meant to tease the movie and build fan anticipation. The picture shows an iteration of the Fast and Furious 8 logo cast in garage metal, with New York City in the backdrop, the Brooklyn Bridge with the city's skyline. We did not think to take it seriously and assume that this would be the official logo for the upcoming film, but an IGN report suggests that this is the new logo for the next movie. If that is the case could this also mean that the official title for the eighth installment will be Fast and Furious 8 and not a shorter, spunkier one as was the case with Furious 7.

Although there is already a ton of buzz surrounding the production of the film,The Hollywood Reporter revealed that it's still going to be a while to go before Fast and Furious 8 goes into production.
