Great news, Super Smash Bros fans: Lucas will be arriving as a playable fighter this month.

Valve Has Announced The Release Date For Its Steam Machines

The Earthbound character will become available for download on June 14, less than two weeks from today. At 8 a.m. Pacific, you'll be able to purchase Lucas on both Wii U and 3DS.

Lucas is the second character released as DLC, following Mewtwo's release earlier this year at the end of April. The new character will cost the same as the last: $3.99 to buy him on just one system, and $4.99 to buy him on both Wii U and 3DS.

Hearthstone Will Begin Selling New Heroes, Which Are Simply Character Reskins

We already knew that Lucas would be the next DLC character--Nintendo announced that fact months ago. There was no release date provided at the time of the announcement, but now we know when to expect the telekinetic fighter. You can watch Lucas' debut video below, in which he comes to the defense of Ness as characters (pretty amusingly) beat down Earthbound's hero.

Lucas looks to be bringing back most of his old tricks, but there will no doubt be some difference to his play this time around. He seems pretty similar to Ness as usual, boasting PK Fire, PK Thunder, and an absorbing shield. He also has PK Freeze, and a host of telekinetic abilities built into his normal attacks as well. Just a little over a week until he returns, Lucas faithful!
