While the development for Fast and Furious 8 is well on track, news of which star will be filling the massive void left by Paul Walker's demise in the movies has been kept top secret.

Will Jordana Brewster's Mia Return In Fast and Furious 8?

The rumor mills are rife with speculation, with various suggestions as to how this aspect will be tackled in the eighth installment of the series. First off there is talk of Walker's younger brother Cody being given the part of a new character in the film. Cody has expressed his interest in being associated with the franchise and would be up for a role if offered on in Fast and Furious 8.

But Cody's casting could play two ways, either it could be advantageous as his likeness would keep Walker's memory alive in the movies going forward, or it could be painful for fans to be reminded of the tremendous loss.

Many pop culture websites have also suggested various A-list stars that could step in to spice things up in the next movie.

There have also been suggestions of no new actors but the some pivotal characters from the old crew being brought back to life. This could serve as an interesting twist in the plot but wouldn't pass muster when it comes to trying to make up for Walker's contribution to the films.

We are leaning to a heavyweight being brought in to dazzle up Dominic (Vin Diesel) and his crew. Rest assured the casting team has its work cut out. In an interview, Universal Chairman Donna Langley stated that they paid great emphasis on casting for the film, and that was a prime attraction in the Furious series.

"[Paul Walker] brought something very unique and very special to the franchise, but we've always tried to up the ante both with the casting and what the movies are about," Langley said.
