Hough recently spoke with News-Press.com about what's ahead for him on Dancing With the Stars.

"It's likely next season," he said. "I think I have one more left on my contract. We'll see."

Hough has been with the show since season 5, only sitting out of season 12 along the way. He is by far one of the most popular pros to come out of Dancing With the Stars and has been inundated with opportunities. Assuming he leaves Dancing With the Stars after next season, he would be leaving behind a great legacy.

"I love the show," he admitted. "The show's amazing. I love every part of it... There's really nothing like it. For me, as long as I have ideas and things to do on the show, I want to be a part of it."

Hough also looked back on previous seasons, saying that he's enjoyed all of his partners.

"They've all impressed me, and they've all been fantastic," he said. "But there have been some special ones, some special moments. You know, it's just one of those moments where I look back and go, 'Oh, wow, I can't believe I did that!' It's like with Kellie Pickler, when I did the freestyle with her (in 2013). It was just a special moment."

Most recently, Hough was partnered with Nastia Liukin, though he was mostly sidelined in the final weeks of the season due to multiple injuries. They wound up finishing in fourth place.

Dancing With the Stars returns for another season on Monday, Sept. 14 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
