Dame Helen Mirren has always had a bit of a wild streak to her, and last year she had made it known by expressing her wish to act in Furious 7.

Could Mia Toretto Return For Furious 7 Sequel?

Her prayers might just come true as recently when the question was posed to Vin Diesel, who pays Dominic Toretto in the films and is also a producer, the actor suggested the door was wide open for her. Diesel told Access Hollywood that he wouldn't need to think twice about that. "Of course I would! Who wouldn't? It's Helen," he said.

While promoting her film The Queen last year, Mirren had made known her love for speed as she really enjoyed doing the stunt driving scenes for the film.

The Wire's Idris Elba To Join Fast and Furious 8?

Speaking to the Huffington Post, the actress revealed her penchant for driving on screen and stated that she also jokingly kept "putting feelers out" to get the producers' attention so she could get in on the action in Fast and Furious 7.

"I loved driving my Land Rover. I did my own sort of stunt driving, if you could call it that. I was driving through the Scottish countryside, not being able to see where I'm going because there are two cameras strapped to the front of that vehicle. So it was a kind of stunt driving, and that was really fun. I loved that. I always love stunt driving," she said. "I do as much driving on my movies as I can. If there's driving stuff to be done, I always beg or insist on doing it myself. Little-known fact: Helen Mirren, stunt driver. I'd love to be in a 'Fast & Furious' movie. I keep putting feelers out. I'd love to do Fast & Furious. I love Vin Diesel as well. He doesn't understand, I think he's so cool."

If the writers aren't quite sure about putting Mirren behind the wheel, they could consider a part akin to her fellow counterpart Judi Dench in the James Bond series.

Fast and Furious 8 will be released on April 15, 2017.

Furious 7 hit theaters on April 3, 2015.
