In a recent interview for Forbes, Vin Diesel spoke about the massive success and legacy of Fast and Furious.

Diesel interestingly suggested that the Fast and Furious were also made with the intent of making Hollywood mroe inclusive. While we have never looked at it that way, the movies do corroborate Diesel's comments with the diversity of the cast of the film.

"The whole point [of The Fast and the Furious] was to diversify Hollywood and in some ways change the face of Hollywood," he said.

The piece actually celebrates Diesel as the megastar of the future, highlighting his multicultural roots. In the interview, the actor admits to how he did have to struggle initially.

"It was very hard to have Hollywood look past the ambiguity of me," he said. "Little did I know it wasn't my time yet. The world wasn't ready for a multicultural megastar."

Diesel, who is also a producer for the Fast and Furious franchise, has given plenty details about the Furious 7 sequel. The actor pretty much confirmed that Fast and Furious 8 will be set in New York, fans just need to wait for an official word. The actor, who plays Dominic Toretto in the series and is also a producer for the movies, recently posted an image on Instagram teasing Fast and Furious 8 in New York City. The picture shows the Fast and Furious 8 logo cast in garage metal, with New York City in the backdrop, the Brooklyn Bridge with the city's skyline.

Fast and Furious 8 will be released on April 15, 2017.

Furious 7 hit theaters on April 3, 2015.
