Nick Gordon is beefing up his legal team as more fingers point his way since his longtime girlfriend Bobbi Kristina Brown has yet to recover after she was discovered unconscious in her bathtub back in January.

Brown, who was taken into hospice care a week ago today, was in a coma for nearly three months after the incident. While she is no longer in the coma, her grandmother, Cissy Houston, said she was diagnosed with irreversible brain damage.

It’s also been reported she is in a vegetative state. While a criminal investigation has been ongoing, no one has been charged yet. But reports have suggested Gordon was involved somehow.

He’s hired none other than Jose Baez, who some might remember as the attorney who won the acquittal for Casey Anthony’s murder trial back in 2011.

Baez is working with Joe Habachy and Randy Kessler who have been his lawyers for the past few months.

But that’s not all.

Investigator TJ Ward, who is known for his work on Natalee Holloway’s disappearance case is also a part of the team. They all have the same objective which is to find out exactly occurred that led up to the moments of Brown being found unresponsive.

Ward’s executive assistant also told People magazine Tuesday, “We do know that other individuals were present at the time of when the emergency personnel were brought in. TJ will be trying to establish who was present and what their role was.”

The Roswell Police Department recently handed the case over to the Fulton County District Attorney’s office. Paul L. Howard told the publication in a statement, “We will be reviewing the case with greater interest.”

A separate insider said that Gordon is afraid he is simply being blamed for something he didn’t do.

“He feels — and we all feel— like Nick has been a scapegoat in this case. It’s scary for him, because he hasn’t done anything wrong. He is completely innocent.”
