Now that NeNe Leakes is no longer holding her peach on Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta, word is that Kandi Burruss is next to line to be the leading lady on the series. But does she have enough personality and drama to bring in the ratings when compared to Leakes?

According to new reports, Burruss’ story lines were beefed up last season in preparation for Leakes’ possible departure. Now that Leakes is officially gone (for now), all of the drama that Burruss experienced last year will be a major part of her new story line.

Still, some are concerned that Burruss, who has been known as the “flip flop” cast member as she goes between alliances with the ladies, isn’t dramatic enough to lead the series.

But last year fans saw a different side of the singer turned reality star, possibly proving that she has more than enough drama of her own.

For starters, she had a huge fallout with one of her closest friends on the show, Phaedra Parks, after Parks claimed that Burruss was not as supportive as she should've been when her husband Apollo Nida was hit with lots of legal drama and sentenced to eight years in prison. As if that wasn’t enough, her marriage with Todd Tucker hit the rocks when they spent a little too much time apart after tying the knot a little more than a year ago. And of course the issues between Tucker and Burrusss’s families were highlighted once again this season.

Burruss has also had two successful spinoffs on Bravo — Kandi’s Wedding and Kandi’s Ski Trip.
