Of the latest buzz surrounding the pre-production of Fast and Furious 8, we know that the casting team is hard at work.

The Wire's Idris Elba To Join Fast and Furious 8?

Some very interesting names have come up ranging from Ruby Rose to Helen Mirren. Even some of the cast members have made suggestions about who they'd like to see play their opponent. Then there have been wishlists for A-listers joining the franchise. We have a name to add to the list: the fiesty Cara Delevingne.

Delevingne would make for a great addition to Dominic Toretto's (Vin Diesel) family which is one female member down, we are assuming Mia (Jordana Brewster) will not be returning as she left to live the family life with Brian O'Connor (Paul Walker). In fact Delevingne would also make for a striking villainous figure.

Deckard Shaw To Join Dominic's Crew In Fast and Furious 8?

Other than Delevingne's recent entry into Hollywood with Paper Towns, the actress has a wild streak to her which would perfectly fit in with the Fast and Furious franchise. Also, she seems to be in a good place with her ex Michelle Rodriguez, who plays Letty Ortiz in the movies. Rodriguez could actually support such an addition. Recently the actress spoke about how proud she was of Delevingne being honest about her sexuality and also approved of the supermodel's new relationship with musician St. Vincent.

Rest assured we can trust the casting team of the series to do a good job. Universal Chairman Donna Langley has also stated that the franchise pays great emphasis on casting for the film, and that was a prime attraction in the Furious series.

"[Paul Walker] brought something very unique and very special to the franchise, but we've always tried to up the ante both with the casting and what the movies are about," Langley said.

Fast and Furious 8 will be released on April 15, 2017.

Furious 7 hit theaters on April 3, 2015.
