Draya Michele of VH1’s Basketball Wives LA has set the record straight after reports claimed that she faked her engagement to NFL player Orlando Scandrick.

In a series of tweets that she has since deleted, she went on a mini rant Wednesday and shut down rumors that she bought the diamond ring herself and then said it was from Scandrick.

She first said she was actually part of a “circus” and “didn’t know I was the clown.”

She then reassured her fans and followers (and anyone else who was looking) that she’s not the type to take such extreme lengths.

She ended with shaming her haters and critics who believed the news.

Her tweets are in response to a blogger B. Scott, who reported that the reality star spent every last dime she had on the ring, which is said to be worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. Interestingly enough, Scandrick also addressed speculation that he never proposed.

He commented on a post that published the rumor and said, “LIES sometimes in life things don’t jus workout as planned”

Still, Love B. Scott stands by the original report and said the entire engagement ordeal was for Basketball Wives LA and was meant to play out on the series. Scandrick apparently knew that it was all for show, but then changed his mind when he considered how it could impact not only his career but his family.

The season premiere is this Sunday, so if they’re still filming, viewers might see all of the drama after all.

The on-again-off-again couple broke up just weeks before Draya announced their engagement on Instagram. But even after the split and before the proposal, Draya told TMZ their romance was far from over. Check it out.
