We are inclined to believe that Delphine (Evelyne Brochu) will be returning for season 4 Orphan Black, and the show's co-creator Graeme Manson also seems to suggest the same.

Tatiana Maslany To Dish About Season 4 At Comic-Con

Delphine was fatally wounded by a gun shot in the finale of season 3 and it seemed like she wouldn't make it.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Manson revealed that he would really want for Delphine to return but they would need good enough reason in the story to support that. But the showrunner even spoke a bit about the character, with a sense that she would return.

Season 4 To Introduce A 'New Kind Of Enemy'?

"We wanted to make a really strong choice with the character this season, and worked with Evelyne to craft the role of Delphine - stemming from that promise she made to Cosima - and to tell a story about true love, but impossible love," he said of Delphine's character arc. "As for next season, that remains to be seen."

When asked more specifically if Brochu would be returning as Delphine, Manson carefully added some doubt to that prospect, so as to keep fans wondering some.

"I'd love to see her somehow. But the story is going to have to dictate it, and all of the other elements will have to come together," he said. "We'd love to, but there has to be a great story reason. God, we wrote that role for Evelyne. We all had a great time working together. We hope the character can loop back into the story, somehow. I don't know, what do you think? More dreams?"

The finale of season 3 aired on June 20.
