Is Tom Hardy going to play an action hero once again in a film based on a popular video game?
On Friday, Deadline announced that the breakthrough actor is attached to star in a movie version of Splinter Cell. New Regency and Ubisoft Motion Pictures have Frank John Hughes entitled to write the next draft and Basil Inwanyk to produce.
Fans might want to keep an eye out on this new gig for Hardy. He would likely play the main action-packed man who fights others to become what they fear the most- the official 'splinter cell.'
Hardy is known for other credits, including Inception, The Dark Knight Rises and Mad Max: Fury Road. As he became the latest tough guy in films, he previously showed some awkward traits when it was discovered that the actor had a Myspace account with provocative photos and a deep yet emo 'About Me' section.
Posted on E! News, Hardy's profile reads, "I never lie. If you suck, you suck...If you're good I take my hat off and I'm all over you. I'll bend over backwards to help anyone of their word. f--k me around I'll let it go I'm not here for stuff I'm here to live and give whatever it is I can to nourish rather than to take and move on, I'm course and straight, I act for a living now adopting characters for money..."
