She has proven that when one door closes, another opens as she’s signed on to work on NBC’s To Tell The Truth along with legend Betty White.

“I had decided that at the end of my contract I was going to not do housewives again, the moment I announced it, ‘To Tell The Truth’ producers reached out and said ‘Come over here and play with us at ‘To Tell The Truth’, this would be a good place for you to come. I love to laugh, I feel like I’m quick on my feet, I thought it would be a great place to come and be witty.”

As for trying to change her image now that she’s not on the reality show, Leakes said she’s not too concerned about it.

“I don’t really care that much about what people think anyway. I’m in a place in my life where I don’t really care at the end of the day. I wanna be in a place where I’m free and I can get back to me and laugh. Because that’s what I like to do. I don’t like to be in a place where I’m not laughing.”

It’s no secret that Leakes has changed since we first met her in October 2008. But she pointed out just how drastic the transition was when she revealed what she thought after she saw her audition tape recently.

“I wanted to die.”
