Jenelle Evans claims Nathan Griffith's St. Thomas proposal wasn't a complete surprise.

Jenelle Evans Talks Parenting Post-Drugs, Reconciliation With Nathan Griffith

During last night's episode of Teen Mom 2 season six, fans watched as Griffith asked Evans to marry him, and after the episode, Evans admitted she was expecting Griffith to propose.

“I had an idea that he was going to do it eventually, but I didn’t know exactly the time,” Evans explained to her co-stars, Chelsea Houska and Kailyn Lowry, during a Teen Mom 2 after show on Thursday night. "I thought maybe by birthday, but then he left tickets in my vanity that he bought me for St. Thomas."

Jenelle Evans Is Heading To Court Next Month To Regain Custody Of Son

Once she arrived in St. Thomas, Evans claimed she was onto Griffith's plans, but unsure of when he would propose.

“I was like, ’Alright, we have a week here — when is he going to do it?'” Evans recalled. “And then he said ’Oh, we have [a] fancy dinner,’ and I was like, ’Maybe he’ll do it then.' That was like the third day into it, though, so he waited. He goes, 'After I had a few drinks in me it was easy.'”

Evans and Griffith have been dating on and off since June 2013 and share one child together, son Kaiser.
