There's a new report that suggests Kim Kardashian might have bought 3 million new Instagram followers just because she is jealous of her sister Kendall Jenner's increasing populality on the photo sharing networking site.

According to Celebrity Dirty Laundry on Friday, Kardashian herself announced on Instagram this week that she was surprised to wake up to 40 million Instagram followers, three million more than what she had previously. Many fans can't help but speculate that Kardashian might have bought the followers herself as she wants to continue keeping the spotlight on herself, rather than her 19-year-old supermodel sister. Jenner herself has 31.4 million followers on her account.

Blogger Amanda Austin writes, "Seriously, why would Kim gain 3 Million followers over night? Does she think we were born last night? Buying followers on social media is not difficult, all you need is a credit card and a general knowledge of social media. And, this isn't the first time Kim was caught buying fake followers."

She added, "At this point, all we can do is laugh at Kim's feud with Kendall. The funniest part is, Kendall could care less - and is busy working while Kim is at home checking her Instagram followers every half hour."

So far, neiher Kardashian nor Jenner have commented on the rumors.
