Chris Brown may have light in his life because of his new role of being a dad to Royalty, but the singer keeps winding up in terrible situations.

Last week, TMZ learned the singer's house was targeted for a home invasion.

His aunt was there at the time and the robbers held her at gunpoint and then locked her in a closet before turning the home upside down as they looked for money and expensive valuables.

This happened at Brown's San Fernando Valley house early Wednesday morning and the singer's aunt did manage to call the police, but the robbers were long gone by the time they arrived.

The day after the robbery occurred the site reported that cops had a lead on who was involved with the invasion. This home invasion robbery apparently happened since the robbers knew the singer recently received $50K in cash for a club appearance, which they wanted.

Cops were speculating that since few people knew of this specific information, a club promoter could have orchestrated the heist.

To make matters worse, the entertainment site revealed on Monday that Brown and the police working the case not only believe a club promoter had something to do with this invasion, but actual friends of Brown's did too.

That's not the worst of it though. A member of the Los Angeles Police Department's Gang Unit has been assigned the case since there's the possibility that the Bloods were involved in the invasion too.
