It seems as though rapper Future just can't make it through an interview these days without bringing up his ex-fiance Ciara's name. This time around he's opening up about their break-up, insisting that he never cheated on her while they were together and that he was publicly "embarrassed" for her.

Ciara News 2015: Is Her Baby Daddy Future Using Her To Boost Album Sales?

According to Us Weekly this past week, Future says that one of the main reasons why he and Ciara broke off their engagement was because they simply "grew apart," despite the fact that they pulled the plug on their relationship only three months after she gave birth to the ex-couple's child, Future Zahir, in May of last year.

"Everybody already had their speculation on what happened. A lot of people said, 'Man, he cheated.' But our relationship had nothing to do with cheating. We grew apart," he said. "As a man, you want to make decisions for your family, and sometimes the lady doesn't see what you see. I called [the engagement] off long before any cheating rumors came out. I was like, 'This isn't going to work out.'"

The rapper is adamant that he didn't stray, even though multiple sources have reported that he did cheat on the chart topping singer.

Insiders close to Ciara told the site last summer, "She found out about the affair through multiple sources in recent weeks. There was clear evidence when she approached Future about the cheating. This was clearly not just a one-night thing."

Even with the rumors, Future says that he's focusing on one thing in his life, and that's his children: all five of them, who he shares with multiple women.

"I have four boys and a girl," said the rapper, whose eldest son is 13. "It's the best feeling in the world. They look at me and don't know about [my career]. I still have to pick 'em up from school, feed 'em. When I get off the stage, they just know me as Dad. They don't know me as Future."
