Clint Eastwood's speech at the Republican National Convention on Thursday, Aug. 30 has received mixed reactions from Hollywood, music stars and the President himself. The "Unforgiven" actor, who was the RNC's surprise guest speaker, delivered his remarks with an interesting concept--he addressed an empty chair pretending President Obama was sitting in it while commenting on several current policies. A long list of celebrities critiqued Eastwood's speech on Twitter: HBO "Newsroom" star Olivia Munn, CNN's Piers Morgan, Seth Meyers, Chris Rock, Adam Levine and even the President.

NOAA, National Hurricane Center in Miami predicts that Tropical Storm Isaac will become Hurricane Isaac as it travels over the Gulf of Mexico and hits late Tuesday into Wednesday. Voluntary evacuations were suggested for coastal parish residents in Louisiana. However, mandatory evacuations were executed for 53,000 residents in the St. Charles Parish and the east bank of Plaquemines Parish.

The National Hurricane Center reported that Tropical Storm Isaac 2012 has potential to become Hurricane Isaac by Sunday. In order to become a category 1 hurricane, Tropical Storm Isaac 2012 must acheive maximum sustained winds of 74 mph. Currently, Isaac is calculated at 60 mph and is predicted to attack Florida on Sunday and the US Gulf Coast states on Monday.

Hurricane Isaac is approaching the U.S. mainland and appears likely to strike at Florida during the Republican Nation Convention in Tampa on Monday, Aug. 27. However, despite the developing tropical storm that will turn into Hurricane Isaac, convention CEO, William Harris said officials are monitoring the weather, but convention leaders will continue to plan as normal.
