The tablet market is dominated by the likes of Apple's iPad Mini, Google's Nexus 7 and Amazon's Kindle Fire HD.

Consumers are looking for the best bargains on tablets and the best devices that match for their own personal needs.

So how do the three tablets hold up when each are compared?

One of the biggest factors driving a consumer's decision is the price. The Apple's iPad Mini starting with a base price of $329, making it the least expensive tablet the company has made but more expensive than its competitors. To Apple, the tablet game is about quality and that will drive customers to pay for their brand.

Google and Amazon are offering quality services as well under more consumer friendly prices, starting at around $199.

The iPad Mini lives up to its name from previous Apple tablets as a 7.9 inch display with a lighter, thinner frame. However, the Mini is still the biggest when compared to Amazon's Kindle Fire HD, which measures at 7 inches along with Google's Nexus 7's 7 inch.

If price is not much of a factor then consumers will have to look more into the further specs for each device and there unique qualities.

The iPad Mini features a 10-hour battery life, a FaceTime HD camera, a powerful A5 chip and an iSight camera with 1080 pixels HD video recording. It operates under Apple's iOS 6 and gives users access to a number of applications specifically designed for the system.

Google Nexus 7 sports a quad-core Tegra 3 processor backed by 1GB of RAM and with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The basic version comes with 8GB of storage and just over 10 hours of battery life.

Amazon Kindle Fire HD's specs include a dual-core processor with a TI OMAP 4460 chip, 8GB of storage, Wi-Fi, unlimited cloud storage courtesy of Amazon and access to Amazon's App Store. It also runs on a version of Google's Android operating system and a battery life of up to 11 hours.

It is hard to judge which of the tablets is the best on the market, but what is important is which one is best for each individual consumer.
