After weeks of single-elimination semifinals, The Voice made some deep cuts on Tuesday night.

'Supernatural' Season 11: Will Rowena Kill The Winchesters? Ruth Connell Teases Epic Midseason Finale

Viewers and contestants alike had become used to season 9's slow burn, and it is for that reason the Top 9 results show was a metaphorical bloodbath. Not only did Team Adam Levin take it's first hit, but the Maroon Five powerhouse also was cut in half.

In an instant triple elimination, Levine's Shelby Brown and Amy Vachal joined Team Gwen Stefani's Braiden Sunshine in the reject pile. To make it worse, the trio wasn't even given the chance to win their way back with the Instant Save. That honor went to Team Blake Shelton's Zach Seabaugh, Team Pharrell Williams' Madi Davis, and Team Gwen's Jeffery Austin, resulting in a fierce competition that played out in Austin's favor.

'The Blacklist' Season 3: Red's Former Flame Joins The Mix, What Secrets Does She Hold?

In an interesting turn of events, the iTunes Multipliers have become virtually useless. Eight of the nine performers managed to land their songs in the Top 10 (Shelby Brown was the only exception), and the bonus has become more of a money making venture than a piece of the competition.
