Kristin Chenoweth may be a petite woman, but she isn’t one to stand around and be bullied. The “Good Wife” actress shared with her followers on Twitter the verbal abuse she sustained from an American Airlines gate agent earlier this week. Chenoweth, 39, usually travels with her emotional support service dog, which happens to be a Maltese named Maddie.

As the actress was making the journey from Dallas to L.A., she ended up getting into a huge argument when she was told her dog would not be able to travel with her on the flight. The airline worker reportedly denied Maddie access to the flight because the actress did not bring the proper paper work for her to board as a service dog.

The actress argued that she had done everything correctly which ended up in her being yelled at. Chenoweth was so upset that she burst into tears.

Chenoweth took to Twitter to blast the airport worker who had no compassion for her situation.

“American Airlines: Dallas flight attnt supervisor Ms. Kidwell. Abuse not okay. #tripfromhell”, she wrote.

Later, after realizing their mistake, American Airlines offered the actress an apology. “We have been in touch with Ms. Chenoweth to offer our apologies for the misunderstanding. We refunded the [$125] cabin pet charge as soon as we realized the mistake. We hope she will consider flying with American again in the future.”

A pet lover and advocate, Chenoweth recently hosted the 2012 American Humane Society Hero Dog Awards. The actress also operates a charity in honor of her pet called Maddie’s Corner which supports homeless animals in shelters and in rescue.

In July 2012, the actress suffered a head injury on the set of “The Good Wife.” A gust of wind blew a lighting silk out of place, striking Chenoweth.
