It's Christmastime, which means fitting in some chill time to watch hours upon hours of Christmas movies with loved ones.

Throughout the years so many Christmas-themed movies have been made for the big screen as well as the small screen.

That got us thinking about which one is the ultimate Christmas movie to watch especially now since it is December and Christmas will be here very soon. So we compiled a list of 16 of the best Christmas movies from comedies to animated creations spanning from 1938 to 2004. Trust us, it was difficult to narrow down the options to just 16, but we managed.

Below will kick off Round 1 of the Enstars Readers' Choice Favorite Christmas Movie Tournament 2015.

Home Alone vs. Elf
Home Alone is an absolute classic that goes synonymously with Christmastime thanks to Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin) getting left behind by his family in the ritzy Chicago suburb he calls home. He puts up one hell of a fight against two burglars, Harry (Joe Pesci) and Marv (Daniel Stern), who have been terrorizing his neighborhood with most families away for the holidays.

Elf like Home Alone is a comedy, but tells an entirely different tale. Will Ferrell shines as Buddy, a human that was raised by elves in the North Pole since he stowed away in Santa's (Edward Asner) sack of toys. Buddy knows nothing of the human world so when he returns there as an adult to look for his biological father Walter (James Caan) he comes across a variety of unfortunate, yet hilarious instances.

It's about his character Howard being on the hunt for a Turbo-Man action figure that his son Jamie (Jake Lloyd) wants for Christmas. Howard will do anything to get his son this gift so a lot of craziness arises, including Schwarzenegger's character dressing up as Turbo-Man for a parade.
