Are Miley Cyrus and Adam Levine really involved in a behind-the-scenes feud?

Since Cyrus joined the NBC singing competition, rumors have been swirling, but according to a new report, things between Cyrus and Levine may not be as strained as the press has made it seem.

“Miley is taking this season of The Voice very seriously and she wants to win,” a source explained to Hollywood Life on Thursday. “It has sparked something in Adam that he hasn’t felt in quite some time and he is taking the challenge and it has lit a fire under him to want to win as well."

The source went on to reveal that while there has been bickering back and forth, their spats are all in good fun, as fans will see once the show premieres next Monday night, Sept. 19.

“They are not feuding in front of or behind the cameras, they are both making good money to work on a show that is a fun time and they are having a fun time,” the source said.

According to a second report, Cyrus and her fellow newbie, Alicia Keys, have changed the dynamic on the series, but in a good way.

"It's one thing to have two different personalities here, and it's another thing to have two women here all of a sudden," Blake Shelton explained to People Magazine on Wednesday. "I feel like we're starting over again on the show this season. It's like a different show all of a sudden."

"It evens the playing field," Levine noted.

"We would always kind of either feel like we were dragging the female coach into this frat party ... Or that we'd be careful trying not to overwhelm the person. Could you imagine being the only girl?" said Shelton.

"I wouldn't like it," Cyrus responded. "I definitely like having Alicia on set."
