Microsoft Surface Pro 5 and the Apple iPad Pro 2 is clearly rival to each other. According to rumors both products might be launched in early in 2017 but actual date was not officially announced yet. 

Processing power of both devices

Microsoft will either use The Intel Kaby Lake processor or the Skylake processor for Surface Pro 5, Intel's newest generation chipset is the fastest one made by Intel.

On the other hand, Apple iPad Pro 2 will use A10X processor and it might be faster than the regular PC. According to PC advisor, it is expected that the Microsoft Surface pro 5 will run on minimum 8 GB of RAM, at the same time iPad Pro 2 will have 4 GB of RAM.

Display Comparison

Microsoft Surface Pro 5 might sport a 12.3 inch Pixel Sense display. However, customer's choice is  between 2k or 4k screen resolution. The Apple iPad 2 screen size will range from 9.7, 10.5 and 12.9  inches  with IPS LCD display panel .

Operating System comparison

The Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is speculated to run on  RedStone OS. The Apple iPad Pro 2 will most likely run on the latest iOS 10.

Camera Comparison

Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will have 16 MP rear cameras and 8 MP front camera. Whereas, the Apple iPad 2 will also have 12 MP camera with true tone flash rear and 5MP front camera with 4k video recording.  

Battery and Connectivity comparison

Both Microsoft and Apple installed the connectivity features like Bluetooth ,Wi-Fi and C type  USB ports. According to rumors Surface Pro 5 will have a better battery compared to its predecessor. The battery for iPad Pro 2 is also expected to perform better.

Price Comparison

Both the devices will be priced in a close range as the Surface Pro 5 is expected to be priced for $899 while the iPad Pro 2 will be made available for $799. However, there is no official announcement yet.
