The 41-year-old actress, Angelina Jolie has made her first public appearance following her divorce with husband Brad Pitt. The actress recently made a video message to be shown to the International Criminal Court with regard to the abusive behavior of her husband, Brad Pitt to their son, Maddox.

The message was in light with current policy issue regarding crimes which are committed against children. Jolie's statement came weeks after her ex-husband was cleared of child abuse charges.

"Successful prosecution, whether at the ICC or elsewhere is part of the long and vital generational effort. That is the light in which I believe the court's new policy on children should be seen," the actress said in her statement.

"I particularly welcome the commitment to includecharges for crimes against children wherever the evidence permits as part of a more systematic approach. I congratulate the office of the chief prosecutor, and all those working on the policy," Jolie added.
