Lady Gaga is reportedly performing a "stunt" at the Super Bowl halftime show this year.

Amid rumors that Gaga will perform on the roof of Houston's NRG Stadium at the Super Bowl, there is a new report claiming the eccentric superstar will be doing "some sort of stunt."

This comes from Entertainment Weekly, which also reports from an insider that Gaga is "not even interested" in making some sort of statement against President Donald Trump, another widespread rumor. "It was never even a conversation."

The Super Bowl halftime show has traditionally been a venue for performers to go big or go home. Considering Gaga has become well known for her big, attention-drawing moments (her outfits like the meat dress, arriving at the Grammys in an egg vessel, etc.), it seems pretty likely that she'll try to pull off something big with the eyes of the world watching.

However, Gaga has certainly toned down her theatrics in recent years, releasing a duet album of jazz standards with Tony Bennett and releasing a decidedly more acoustic solo album Joanne. It's been a while since we've seen a truly out-there costume from her, outside of her metallic Met Gala outfit and her tribute to David Bowie at the Grammys. It remains to be seen if Gaga will bring back the eccentricity of her earlier work.

Gaga has said that she wants to give football fans a good show, though.

"The thing is, I'm just going to put together the best show for the football fans, the ones that are watching at home," she told Entertainment Weekly in October. "I'm not sure what songs we'll play. We put things together in a very special way, I think, my creative friends and I. I would be happy to play new music during the Super Bowl, of course. But for me I just always want the show to be great. I think that these songs [from Joanne] could reach a lot of people and bring other sons and fathers together."

The Super Bowl airs Sunday, Feb. 5 at 6:30 p.m. ET on Fox.
