In February, it was announced that 'Spider-Man' star Tom Holland would star as Romeo Montague in Jamie Lloyd's 'Romeo & Juliet.'

Opposite of Holland's role, actress Francesca Amewudah-Rivers is set to play Juliet Capulet.

The West End Production is in gear to play at London's Duke of York Theatre for a limited run from May 11 to August 3.

According to Euro News, Amewudah-Rivers played in roles on British TV shows 'Bad Education' (2012) and 'Minutes' (2022).

British writer, composer, and actress Amewudah-Rivers is no stranger to the theater stage, playing Lady Macduff in Sarah Frankcom's version of 'Macbeth' for the Globe Theatre in 2022. The Oxford University graduate also co-wrote the short film 'Medea' and composed its soundtrack, per the U.S. Sun.

'Romeo & Juliet' is undoubtedly one of the most famous love stories of all time, with Lloyd's depiction utilizing a cast including 'Law & Order' star Freema Agyeman and 'Top Boy' star Michael Balogun.

British director Jamie Lloyd, 43, is best known for his eponymous theater company, The Jamie Lloyd Company.

The director is known for his ability to highlight expression and modern minimalism. He is credited for providing younger audiences with affordable theater, and has been praised for "redefining West End theater."

Lloyd has won Outstanding Director of a Play from the Outer Critics Circle Awards for 'Betrayal,' as well as two Olivier Awards.
