On Fox's hit musical show Glee, Rachel (Lea Michele) is following her dreams of being on Broadway but viewers should expect some complications in getting to where she wants to be.

Before suffering the loss of Finn (Cory Monteith) in the latest episode of Glee, Rachel was cast as the lead in Funny Girl on Broadway. When Glee returns for episode 4 on Nov. 7, she will officially make her Broadway debut. Her experience may not go as planned, however.

"I always thought Rachel was going to be a big star - that was sort of planted, even in the pilot," co-creator Ryan Murphy explained to TVLine in a Thursday report. "So the story's about that. Does [Funny Girl] get good reviews? Does it get bad reviews? We're trying to add some complications in there."

Episode 4, which is titled A Katy or a Gaga, will be much lighter than Finn's tribute episode, according to Murphy. The executive producer told TVLine that the episode was intended to give the cast more joyful material to work with after such a weighty third episode.

"I wanted to do something that was maybe a little more inspirational, because that was so hard on the cast," Murphy said. "So we did something that [features] a lot of costumes, a lot of great set pieces."

The episode will feature the glee club members trying to determine who they are as artists with the help of songs by two of today's hottest pop stars: Katy Perry and Lady Gaga. The kids will sing Roar by Perry and Applause by Gaga, the stars' current hits.
