Supernatural left fans in shock following its incredibly unpredictable midseason finale, "Holy Terror." While the fandom licks its wounds and mourns the death of Kevin Tran, here's a look at what viewers can expect from the next few episodes of the CW drama.

Episode 10 - "Road Trip"

"Road Trip" is the first episode back after the midseason "hell-atus" and will air on Jan. 14. Picking up where "Holly Terror" left off, "Road Trip" will see Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles) and the newly re-graced Castiel (Misha Collins) team up with the King of Hell (Mark Sheppard) in order to try and save Sam Winchester (Jared Padalecki) from the angel that currently inhabits him.

It doesn't look like Gadreel is going to relinquish his new vessel without a fight, however, and it remains to be seen whether Sam will make it out of the ordeal unscathed. Even if he does, the hunter's sacrificial feelings from the premiere may come flooding back.

Episode 11 - "First Born"

The Winchester brothers will either be getting a new friend or a new foe in the form of Cain (Tim Omundson). The 'Father of Murder' trained the Knights of Hell and could be helpful in trying to put an end to Abaddon (Alaine Huffman), but Adam and Eve's eldest son has been out of the demon game for quite some time, according to E!.

Cain may not be the only new face in the game, however.

"Supernatural is great! What a blast I'm having directing this really cool episode with new characters we've never seen before," tweeted episode director John Badham.

Also, look out for one of Supernatural's most intense fight scenes ever.
