The first clip of Game of Thrones season 4 have been released by HBO.

In a new montage of upcoming season and series premieres, there is some footage from the highly anticipated fourth season of Game of Thrones.

The clip includes Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) in chains walking through King's Landing, King Joffrey (Jack Gleeson) with a troubled expression on his face, Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) appearing to be enjoying herself and a mysterious man riding a horse while carrying a weapon.

Though the preview does not offer much in terms of spoilers, it does indicate Tyrion will be in trouble with the law when the series returns.

MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD:

The Tyrion-in-chains scene previews one of the most notable storylines expected to unfold in season 4. Tyrion attends the wedding of Joffrey and Margaery Tyrell (Natalie Dormer) in the latter half of A Storm of Swords, the third book in George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire novels.

At the wedding feast, Joffrey takes a drink of his wine and discovers that it has been poisoned. As Joffrey falls over and dies, Cersei (Lena Headey) accuses Tyrion of poisoning him. Tyrion is promptly arrested as he awaits trial.
