Columbus Short won't be returning for season 4 of Scandal.

The actor is leaving the hit-ABC series as he is dealing with his own real-life scandal during a messy divorce with his wife, Tuere Tanee Short.

In a statement released on Friday by Columbus, the actor who played Harrison on Scandal paid homage to the team, but didn't specify if he was fired.

"At this time I must confirm my exit from a show I've called home for three years, with what is the most talented ensemble on television today," he said.

The 31-year-old who first got his start in the 2004 movie, You Got Served thanked the show's creator Shonda Rhimes and pregnant star, Kerry Washington, along with his fellow "gladiators" who have supported him throughout his entire career.

"Everything must come to an end and unfortunately the time has come for Harrison Wright to exit the canvas," he said. "I wish nothing but the best for Shonda, Kerry and the rest of the cast, who have become like a second family to me in such a short amount of time. For this, I will forever be grateful."

Earlier this month, Tuere filed for divorce and was granted a temporary restraining order after Columbus allegedly threatened to kill her. The couple has a 2-year-old daughter, whom she is seeking full legal and physical custody.

The Season 3 finale ended with Harrison's future unknown, as B613 head honcho Rowan Pope held him at gunpoint in the last minutes of the show.

Columbus has been a regular cast member of the show since Season 1.
