The new season of Under the Dome is less than two months away, and the show might be revealing the overall impact of the dome on the outside world.

'Heads Will Roll' In First Episode of Under the Dome?

"It's not just us. The whole planet could be affected," says Joe (Colin Ford) in the new promo released by CBS this week.

The new CBS promo for the anticipated second season of Under the Dome features some intriguing new scenes that suggest that everyone around the dome could be affected by it. Either way, those trapped under the dome are essentially at the mercy of the mysterious force.

Three Main Characters Jailed After Murdering Others In Season 2?

Norrie (Mackenzie Lintz) says later in the clip, "It just doesn't make sense. I thought the dome was here to protect us." The citizens of Chester's Mill are thrown around haphazardly while others collapse to the ground through the dome's telekinetic powers.

"Tell me what to do. Tell me!" Big Jim (Dean Norris) screams up to the dome as he seems to be the only one unaffected by its powers. Angie (Britt Robertson) is then shown screaming for an unknown reason.

The second season of Under the Dome will kick things off with a bang as two main characters are set to die. As executive producer Brian K. Vaughan previously noted, "no one is safe in this town."

The season premiere is written by Stephen King, who wrote the novel on which the TV series is based.

Under the Dome season 2 premieres on Monday, June 30 at 10 p.m. on CBS.
