After endless speculation about when and where they would marry, celebrity couple Donnie Wahlberg and Jenny McCarthy finally tied the knot in an August 30 ceremony in New York-however, after tons of drama concerning their small "celeb-free" guest list, the couple wound up marrying without some very important people in attendance-Wahlberg's family members.

Donnie Wahlberg & Jenny McCarthy Considered Eloping?

TMZ reports that Donnie's fellow superstar brother, Mark, was not attending the wedding-and it is believed he and his wife, Rhea Durham, actually do not get along with McCarthy very well, which allegedly prompted his decision not to attend the nuptials. Durham also reportedly did not like a recent interview McCarthy gave on Howard Stern's radio show, where she talked about Mark.

However, Wahlberg's reps confirmed he had not attended because he had a birthday party scheduled that same day for his daughter, Ella, who turns 11 September 2-and Wahlberg will be filming in Boston that day and can't celebrate with her.

Donnie Wahlberg & Jenny McCarthy Sparking A Trend?

Whatever the reason for the ditched wedding, it appears there is no bad blood between the brothers at the very least, as Mark did send his congratulations to his brother via social media.

"Congratulations, @DonnieWahlberg and @JennyMcCarthy, so happy for you both today," he tweeted on the day of the wedding.

And at least for now, his brother appears to be supporting the story that Mark didn't attend the wedding because of his prior commitment to his daughter, as he thanked his brother for the congratulations and also wished his niece a happy birthday.

"Thank you @mark_wahlberg. Thanks to you & @rheadur for the adorable video for me & Jenny! Please wish a Happy B-day to my god daughter Ella!" Donnie wrote on his Twtter account.

TMZ also reports that Donnie's other brother, Bob, also did not attend the affair, nor did his mother, Alma, who does not fly. However, his brother Paul, the star of A&E's Wahlburgers was in attendance.

The lack of Wahlbergs at the event is a shocking turn after guest list drama was centered around an alleged feud between McCarthy and her famous cousin, Melissa, in July.

According to Radar Online on July 24, she and her equally famous cousin, Tammy actress Melissa McCarthy, have been feuding for some time-and things have since exploded after Melissa initially wasn't invited to the wedding.

"The cousins were close at one time, but they've grown distant over the past few years," a source said.

The feud had since reportedly gotten more intense, as Melissa revealed on Howard Stern's radio show  that she wouldn't be attending her cousin's nuptials because they were "on opposite worlds now," referring to the two living on opposite coasts.

However, Jenny appeared on the talk show just a few weeks after and said Melissa would be invited-though that reportedly wasn't part of her initial plan.

"Before Howard put Jenny on the spot, Jenny had no desire to invite Melissa to her wedding," a source said. "Jenny feels she helped Melissa get a leg up in the business. But now that Melissa's career is skyrocketing, Jenny feels [Melissa] doesn't have time for her."

However, Jenny later lashed out about the story, saying it was "hurtful" that such a thing was said, and that the affair would just have a small guest list.

"They also say that I've 'banned' Melissa from my upcoming wedding, which is also ridiculous," she told People Magazine July 26.  "Donnie and I are planning a very intimate ceremony that will involve a very small group of our closest friends and that's it-not a huge production with hundreds of friends and extended families."

"It's hurtful that people make up stories that pit not just families, but specifically women, against each other," she added.

Regardless of the alleged drama, congratulations to the happy couple!
