A new set for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has been constructed in southwestern New Mexico, leading some to speculate what the location might be for in the blockbuster.

The new construction in New Mexico has caught the attention of many locals in the area. Henry Cavill, who plays Superman in the film, was also spotted on set.

"All of a sudden, it's like everybody says the circus is here now," local Van Jacobsen said, via KRQE News 13. "You know the different crews that came in, the art designers and producers . . . It's quite amazing, just a bunch of great people."

Another local, Karia Borunda, a server at Si Señor's Restaurant nearby, admitted that she is star struck over the movie set being in town.

"You can't explain it, you just get too excited to see him and everything," Borunda said, adding that Cavill posed with the servers. "He was very kind, very polite friendly and everything."

The location is speculated to possibly be posing as Wonder Woman's (Gal Gadot) home of Themyscira, also known as Paradise Island, according to MovieWeb. It is not yet known if the movie is going to delve into Wonder Woman's history or if she will have a smaller part in the film.

Batman v Superman stars Cavill, Gadot, Ben Affleck as Batman/Bruce Wayne, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and a whole host of other stars.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is scheduled for release in theaters on March 25, 2016.
