Katy Perry has switched her hair color yet again. The "Firework" singer appears on the cover of the latest issue of L'Officiel Paris magazine sporting bright orange hair.

In the pictorial, photographed by fashion lensman Cuneyt Akeroglu for the magazine's September issue, Perry became a "ginger" for the shoot. She is wearing a peach dress and rosy makeup to compliment her orange tresses.

The 27-year-old's look was temporary for the photo shoot. Soon after, she was photographed over the weekend sporting short dark hair again.

Perry recently split from singer John Mayer and was rumored to have turned down a $20 million offer to be a judge on the upcoming season of "American Idol."

A source told People magazine that Perry and Mayer will likely "end up as friends" but Us Weekly is reporting that Perry is "really upset about it."

"She is making it seem like it wasn't serious with John, but she is hurt," Us Weekly reports, citing an anonymous source.

But apparently, Perry and Mayer gave the wrong impression to the public with their relationship.

"They were honestly having fun. People made it out to be far more than it was," a source told People Magazine.

Perry and Mayer were previously spotted together on several occasions over recent weeks including at dinner at Chateau Marmont and attending a pool party in Beverly Hills on August 4.

Perry was married to British comedian Russell Brand for 14 months and finalized her divorce last month.

As for the potential "American Idol" job, TMZ reports that producers initially offered Perry $18 million, but when she didn't bite, "Idol" upped the ante and offered $20 million for one season. That's $2 million more than already confirmed judge Mariah Carey will receive.

The "Part of Me" singer reportedly said she wasn't interested no matter how much the show offered. She's already given judging a singing competition a chance when she appeared as a guest judge on the UK version of "The X Factor," and she didn't feel that joining "Idol" would be the right choice for her.
