Watch the Carolina Panthers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 1 of the NFL Games, with kickoff on Sunday , Sept. 9, at 4:25 p.m. ET in Raymond James Stadium.

FOX and DIRECTV channel 715 will air the live game and live audio stream is available, courtesy of the NFL. Sirius XM Radio will also stream the game on station 94 and some sites, such as htosports.com, claim to provide live video stream.

The teams went head-to-head in two games in 2011 and the Panthers won them both: 48-16 and 38-19.

James Anderson tweeted on Sunday, "Today begins the journey to the top...#champions..one step at a time with all we got! #keeppounding."

Buzz around the Panthers are high in regards to Cam Newton. The Examiner said the following about him:

"[He is] a controversial player called by some a character risk and a one-year college wonder, infamously dubbed worthy of only a second or third round pick by some well-paid draft gurus."

However, this year around, Newton might do his team some good. He has already won NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year honors and he carried his team to six additional wins. An ESPN analyst also picked Newton as NFL MVP for this year.

In 2011, the Panthers became the first team in NFL history to have three players rush more than 700 yards in a season.

Running back Jonathan Stewart will not be in the game due to a recent ankle sprain.

The Buccaneers will host the game and this season they will debut their new head coach, Greg Schiano. Tampa Bay missed the playoffs for the last four NFL seasons. The team signed on wide receiver Vincent Jackson to add to their list of hopefuls, including Josh Freeman, and draft picks Mark Barron and Lavonte David.
