Prince William and Kate Middleton broke royal protocol when they decided not to hire a maternity nurse to help with their first son, Prince George, and it looks like they may decide to follow the rules for their second bundle of joy.

On Sunday, Inquisitr reported on behalf of Mail on Sunday that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge may be employing a maternity nurse for help with their second child.

It seems that the couple will be following royal tradition and hiring a full-time maternity nurse for at least the first three months following the birth of the new royal baby.

James Middleton Is Frustrated About Being Kate Middleton's Brother?

It's rumored that Royal officials have made inquiries with the London-based Norland Agency and Royal Nannies for a nurse that would be spending 24/7 with the family.

Even though Middleton has a full-time nanny for 18-month-old Prince George, it appears she could be wanting more helping hands with another baby.

"Kate and William loved the early weeks with Prince George but it was hard work and the sleepless nights took their toll. Kate especially was exhausted," a source said.

The couple reportedly relied heavily on family members for help with Prince George and caring for him, and this time they want to take the burden off their family and hire someone who wants to help full-time.

"There is a nanny annex and a guest suite with plenty of space for Kate's family...Kate and William plan to go to their own family home after the birth," the source said.
