Ciara might have had a lot of high and a lot of lows in the past year, but if there's one thing that's been consistent, it's her cutting edge music. The single celebrity mother recently opened up about her new album and how she plans on being very "real" and personal in her lyrics and songs.

Ciara says in a new interview that fans will have an opportunity to see the real her in her album, "Jackie" which is named after her mother.

"On this album, I think that it's important for people to really feel me," the 29-year-old told HipHollywood earlier this week. "I titled that album after my mom because I can now see the world through her eyes."

What's more, the latest events in her life - including giving birth to her son Future Junior and breaking up with baby daddy, rapper Future - have definitely given her a lot of new material to write about it. Ciara broke off her engagement after reportedly finding out that Future had cheated on her shortly after she gave birth to their first child together back in May.

"I just feel so many different things now with life," she continued. "As a woman, I feel a whole different confidence. I feel a need to express. I feel like us women want to express with each other. I talk to so many women and a lot of my friends about real things and I want to be able to share that through my music because I think that's what the world wants."

Ciara added, ""The world needs music. The world needs, I think, realness...It's important to me that I get to be true and express myself exactly how I want to as an artist."
