For fans working diligently to get their hands on tickets for Beyoncé’s fast-selling Mrs. Carter World Tour there is a little hope left, however, audiences will have another opportunity to see the pop singer when she takes to a music festival this summer.

Essence Magazine announced the Love on Top singer has signed on to headline the 2013 Essence Music Festival in New Orleans, La. The three day concert from July 4-7 will feature some of today’s greatest R&B performers like Jill Scott, Maxwell, New Edition, Charlie Wilson, Keyshia Cole and Brandy. The first quarter of 2013 is proving to be a strong one for the 31-year-old following her powerful Super Bowl halftime performance and rendition of the national anthem for President Obama during his inauguration. On Feb. 16, Beyoncé will premiere her HBO documentary Life Is But A Dream at 9 p.m. and also be featured in an interview with Oprah Winfrey that will air on the TV mogul’s Next Chapter series.

The Countdown singer also covered the pages of Vogue's Power Issue and spoke candidly about her 1-year-old daughter Blue Ivy Carter for the first time.

At the 2013 Grammy Awards, Beyoncé took home an award for Best Traditional R&B Performance for Love on Top.
