They were on the search to find him so they could bring him back to Port Charles and make him and Julian (William DeVry) receive justice for the plot to murder Duke, but the plan to retrieve Carlos (Jeffrey Vincent Parise) could come to a deadly end on General Hospital.

Sonny (Maurice Benard) found Carlos in a church, and Carlos threatened to finally kill him. However, after the priest Carlos knocked unconscious so he could steal his outfit began to moan, Sonny was able to turn things around and knock Carlos to the ground and get his gun. However, Anna's (Finola Hughes) ability to escape the plane and the warrant Paul (Richard Burgi) had issued for her to keep her from bringing Carlos in led her to the church as well-and Carlos was once again able to try and get control of the gun.

Now, as he and Sonny struggle for the gun, a shot will ring out-and one of them could go down.

"Sonny!" Anna shouts in a preview clip for the Wednesday, April 13 episode, as the gunshot rings out.

If one of them is shot-and possibly killed, it could ruin everything. Sonny being shot once again, just months after his last gunshot wound, could prove fatal for him. And if Carlos is the one who was shot-and possibly killed-it could put an end to the hopes that Duke's death will be justified, because while Carlos, who actually shot him, would be dead, Julian, the one who ordered the hit, would still be able to walk freely with no evidence against him.

Meanwhile, back in Port Charles, the issues with Anna's vendetta will continue seeping into Jordan (Vinessa Antoine) and Andre's (Anthony Montgomery) relationship, since both have some investment in Anna's well-being. And since Jordan knows what Anna's really up to thanks to Paul, Andrew will demand she give him some answers so he can see what he may need to do as Anna's psychiatrist.

"Is there something going on that I don't know about?" He asks in the clip.

General Hospital airs Monday-Friday at 3 p.m. on ABC.
