Meghan Markle Had a Massive Hollywood Dream Before Meeting Prince Harry – What Is It?

Meghan Markle reportedly wanted to expand her Hollywood career by becoming the "successor" of an A-list actress before meeting Prince Harry.

Before becoming a royal member, Meghan was growing to become an A-list actress after getting supporting roles and aiming to have more major roles.

In fact, she reportedly wanted to become Gwyneth Paltrow 2.0 when she was still active in the industry.

According to royal biographer Tina Brown, the Duchess of Sussex poured everything on her website, The Tig, as she believed it could help her experience the same amount of support and attention Paltrow's Goop received.

Meghan reportedly shared her desire while filming her hit show, "Suits."

"She often was still on set at four a.m. She spent the downtime furiously updating The Tig, which she was convinced, not without reason, could emulate the success of Goop, Gwyneth Paltrow's canny second-act creation of a pampering and wellness e-commerce site, with its $550 (£437) healing quartz necklaces and $66 (£52) yoni eggs for enhanced orgasms," she said.

One of the "Suits" staff reportedly informed Brown about Meghan's ambition, saying that the duchess always talked about Paltrow's website.

But after marrying Prince Harry, she eventually closed her lifestyle website.

Meghan Markle Failing To Restart Hollywood Life?

Unfortunately, Meghan's plan to conquer the film and TV industry again was put to waste as Netflix just dropped her animated series, "Pearl," amid the streaming giant's cutbacks.

It was reported that Meghan would serve as the series creator and executive producer. The series tells the story of a 12-year-old girl who is inspired by several female figures in history.

Supposedly, "Pearl" was scheduled to become Archewell brand's first animated production since the Sussexes' departure from the royal family.

"Word in town is that even before recent events, Netflix had been telling producers to take some development projects elsewhere," the report said, as quoted by The Guardian. "Clearly, Netflix's inordinately high content spend is being reevaluated. It is just unreasonable to expect its execs to manage that many projects, and have enough of them turn out to be memorable."

Netflix has not officially commented on the development yet. Archewell also has not released a statement about the axing of the series.

Despite that, other Archewell Projects - like Heart of Invictus - remain unaffected by the cutbacks. Two other animated series, "Dino Daycare" and "Boons and Curses," were also shut down.
