Wendy Williams has been promising her fans that she will make a big comeback on television this year.

The TV star pledged to return to her purple chair in September. Several publications, however, stated that it is "logistically impossible."

According to TV analysts, Debmar-Mercury has negotiated a contract with Sherri Shepherd to take over Wendy's schedule.

"Where's she gone?" a source told Page Six. It's finished. Logically, it will not work. Sherri has her schedule."

Wendy Williams appeared on Instagram Live with Fat Joe over the weekend and claimed that she would be back to her program and would not be watching Sherri's show.

"I'm coming back to 'The Wendy Williams Show,'" Wendy informed the rapper. Absolutely. Absolutely."

In the interview, she also stated that she will not be watching Sherri's show since it is "not" her "thing."

Fat Joe is one of several guest hosts who have filled in for Wendy Williams while she is on medical leave from her award-winning program.

Another insider told the outlet that Wendy's previous production business is "not happy" that the rapper interviewed her.

"He didn't give them a heads-up about it, and she didn't seem well," they stated. She didn't appear to be really present. She couldn't even finish a sentence at times."

They went on to declare that the 57-year-old is "uninsurable," claiming that she hasn't been consistent in her job and lacks the mental and physical competence to host her program.

The production firm apparently wanted Wendy back more than anybody else and would have preferred for her to complete this chapter in her career.

"The Wendy Williams Show" will come to an end in June.

Sherri Shepherd Concerned About Wendy Williams

Wendy Williams is allegedly alright with and understands why she will not be tuning into Sherri Shepherd's show.

The "30 Rock" veteran, 55, then begged supporters to pray for Wendy, who is "going through a lot."

Debmar-Mercury stated in February that Sherri will be taking over Wendy's schedule.

Another insider revealed that if the production firm believes Wendy Williams would return to her regular live program, they will back her up. They know it won't happen this year since all of their TV slots are already taken.
