In a recent TikTok that's reached 170k views in just 10 hours, Ella Gorgla is resting in her hotel room when EMS, the New York City Police Department, and a social worker break through the door to transport her to Bellevue Hospital, known for its psychiatric services.

"I am NOT going to Bellevue!" Gorgla contests. "How is this acceptable in America?" She asks, "Look at this!"

"I graduated from Columbia, I just got into Princeton...and you're telling me I have to go to Bellevue?"

"Look at this evil that exists," Gorgla said, panning the camera over to someone she suggests may have reported her.

This comes years after Gorgla blew the whistle in her workplace at Estée Lauder, citing the mistreatment of Black female employees at the company. Since blowing the whistle back in 2020, Gorgla is adamant that she is being targeted, attacked, and ultimately feels her safety has been at risk up until today.

According to an open-letter testimony created by Gorgla, called "The Ugly Side of Beauty," she alleges 22 Black women at Estée Lauder Companies (ELC) gathered in 2018 to share their grievances in the workplace in a letter written by the advocacy group, '25 Black Women in Beauty.'

Their reported grievances included failure to promote, discrimination, payment inequalities, racial animus, and unchecked microaggressions, claiming that as an Executive Director at MAC Cosmetics, she dealt with each of these instances.

Although the letter they've organized to present wasn't handed to the company, she alleges that change did happen — including Black women suddenly being promoted and new workshops on cultural insensitivity, and suspects the letter may have been leaked. Per her story, things had gotten better for everyone but her.

Between September 2018 and 2020, Gorgla alleges that she was terrorized in the workplace, trash repeatedly showed up on her back patio, pictures mysteriously taken of her in restaurants and on an airplane, and felt she was being surveilled in her hometown of Toledo, Ohio.

On two separate occasions, she says her house had been broken into. She alleges the NYPD refused to take a police report and her landlord refused to hand over the property's security footage. In a TikTok video, Gorgla is seen reporting to staff a strange smell in her room — which they had no answer or solution for.

In September 2020, she was in the comfort of her home when the orange juice from her refrigerator made her feel dizzy, bringing her pulse up to 155, fearing she may go into cardiac arrest.

After seeking medical attention, she was allegedly denied a police report... again. The results from Mount Sinai Hospital were inconclusive, omitting her drug results, per her claims.

Ella Gorgla writes in the letter that the DA has since taken her case, however, still wonders almost daily, "How did I get here?"
