Police investigating Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice for allegedly assaulting his fiancée Janay Palmer earlier this week are now claiming they have video evidence of Rice striking his girlfriend unconscious.

Ray Rice Arrested For Assaulting Janay Palmer

Sources close to the investigation told the news to Sports Illustrated, saying the police have possession of a video showing Rice delivering a blow to Palmer which knocked her unconscious.

Another video showing Rice dragging Palmer's unconscious body out of an elevator at the Revel Atlantic City Casino surfaced on TMZ earlier this week, and while Rice's lawyer authenticated that it was him in the video, he claimed the images were not telling the complete story.

That video showed Rice drag his fiancée's body out of the elevator as someone else came over the help. Palmer eventually started to come to and wake up on her own, before Rice starting walking out of frame.

Both Rice and Palmer face criminal assault charges for allegedly striking each other a police report said.

"After reviewing surveillance footage it appeared both parties were involved in a physical altercation," the statement by the Atlantic City Police Department read. "The complaint summons indicated that both (Rice) and Palmer struck each other with their hands. The responding officer signed a simple assault complaint against both Rice and Palmer."

A source allegedly said at the time that the altercation began after Palmer spit on Rice.

Neither Palmer nor Rice has made an official statement about the incident.
