Activision Blizzard Inc's latest title from its blockbuster 'Call of Duty' video game franchise surpassed $1 billion in retail sales a day after its launch, the company said on Wednesday.
Server problems that botched the launch of Electronic Arts Inc's new "SimCity" title last week and incensed gamers who could not access the game for days have improved but not yet been fully resolved, the company said.
Electronic Arts Inc, publisher of the "Battlefield" and "Star Wars" games, stuck to a forecast for about 30 percent growth in fiscal 2013 earnings and announced a $500 million share buyback, in a bid to prop up its shares.
