Jennifer Aniston might be one of the best paid actresses in Hollywood, but unfortunately some people think it's not really well deserved. Friends creator Marta Kauffman has gone on the record to say Aniston and her co-stars in the hit sitcom didn't deserve the $1 million-per-episode payout they received when the show was on the air a decade ago.

According to RTE News on Friday, Kauffman admits that while the show was one of the most successful ones to air in television history, Aniston along with Lisa Kudrow, Courteney Cox, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer were definitely overpaid.

''A million dollars an episode is kinda ridiculous. Let's be honest, that's a lot of money," Kauffman said at the Television Critics' Association (TCA) Summer Press Tour.

''There's something unrealistic about it. Not everybody is going to get a million dollars an episode. So I think, actually, what we're all doing [now] is actually more reasonable and makes more sense," she continued.

Kauffman further explained that the show, which aired from 1994 to 2004, was created in a totally different television climate then the current one now.

She added, ''It's such a different situation, because ratings are connected to advertisers. That was a case where the cast knew how valuable the show was to the network in terms of the advertisers. There are no advertisers on Netflix..."
